A current WWE star has shared a message of appreciation for Hall of Famer Edge as he celebrates 25 years in the company.

Monday Night Raw’s Johnny Gargano took to his Instagram story to acknowledge the incredible career of the Rated-R-Superstar and the personal impact he had on Gargano both growing up and now.

Sharing a throwback photo of when he met Edge as a fan, Gargano said:

I was a fan growing up..and after getting the opportunity to talk to, learn from, and see the type of human being he is when the cameras aren’t on..I’m an even bigger fan today.

Despite hitting that massive milestone Edge hasn’t been featured on WWE TV in over a month, last competing against AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio in the first round of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament on the May 12 Smackdown episode.

With the Toronto-native reaching a quarter-century in WWE there has been significant speculation surrounding his in-ring future.

Last August Edge teased that the next time he was at a WWE event in Toronto, it could be his last.

Now interestingly earlier this month it was announced that he is set to appear at the August 18 Smackdown taping at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena.

While it hasn’t been confirmed to in fact be Edge’s final farewell, his WWE contract is believe to be up at some point this year so it could line-up to be that way.

As for Johnny Gargano, he was surprisingly absent from this week’s Raw in his own home-city of Cleveland, Ohio.
