Friday Night SmackDown is set to be a big show this week, with WWE on FOX tweeting that WWE Hall of Famer Edge will be returning to the blue brand on the show.
This comes after Edge won the Royal Rumble match on Sunday night, meaning he is free to challenge either WWE Champion Drew McIntyre on Raw or Universal Champion Roman Reigns on SmackDown at WrestleMania in April.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE is currently planning on having Edge take on Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania, so it doesn’t look like this is the last we’ll see of Edge on the blue brand.
Speaking of Edge, Dave Meltzer has also suggested that the Rated-R Superstar was the person who pitched that he won the Royal Rumble match last weekend. You can find out exactly what Meltzer had to say on the matter by clicking here.
