WWE has announced that WWE Hall of Famer Edge will return on next week’s (October 1) episode of SmackDown.
On last night’s show, Seth Rollins cut a promo, inviting Edge to return to SmackDown next week to address him putting him down with the Stomp in Madison Square Garden.
Edge responded on Twitter during the show, saying that he would be on SmackDown next week.
It was previously reported that Edge would be absent from WWE for ‘several months’, but the Hall of Famer will be back next week to set up a rubber match with Seth Rollins, presumably for the October Crown Jewel show in Saudi Arabia.
