Edge Suffers Injury During WWE Backlash Tapings

It’s being reported that Edge suffered an injury during tapings for the ‘Greatest Wrestling Match Ever’ with Randy Orton that airs tonight at Backlash.

Fightful Select (subscription required & recommended) reports that the ‘Rated-R Superstar’ sustained a triceps injury while taping the match last Sunday, and it might be a while before we get to see him again.

The word is that Edge suffered a torn triceps, but that isn’t official until the company or Edge himself declares that’s the case.

It’s also not known how the injury affects tonight’s match against Orton, which reportedly is set to be about 30-35 minutes but has been edited as expected.

The match was originally planned for SummerSlam according to reports, but was brought forward due to the lack of star power on tonight’s card.
