El Hijo Del Vikingo Update After WWE WrestleMania 41 Appearance WWE

An update has emerged on El Hijo Del Vikingo outside WWE and AAA, following his appearance at WrestleMania 41.

Ahead of WrestleMania 41 Night 1 during the pre-show, WWE announced the acquisition of Mexican promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.

Former AAA Mega Champion El Hijo Del Vikingo appeared on the pre-show for this announcement, before showing up during the WrestleMania 41 main show.

Appearing at the beginning of the El Grande Americano vs Rey Fenix match, El Hijo Del Vikingo – billed only as Vikingo – kicked El Grande Americano after the masked man shoved him. Vikingo also entered the ring to help Fenix up after his loss.

With WWE acquiring AAA and establishing Vikingo on WWE TV, there has been some speculation about what’s next for the Mexican luchador outside these two promotions.

TNA Wrestling has now confirmed that Vikingo is still set to compete at the April 27 TNA Rebellion pay-per-view and hasn’t been pulled from the event.

Following his WWE appearance, TNA Wrestling reshared a graphic advertising Vikingo for the Ultimate X match, which you can view below.

Vikingo was announced for the Ultimate X match for Moose’s X-Division Championship on April 3.

WWE and TNA Wrestling notably announced a multi-year partnership in January, after establishing a working relationship with regular talent crossover in 2024.
