Elektra Lopez Addresses WWE Release WWE

Former SmackDown star Elektra Lopez has commented after she was one of 11 names released by WWE this past weekend.

Lopez was let go by WWE along with Akam, Rezar, Paul Ellering, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Cedric Alexander, Giovanni Vinci, Blair Davenport, Isla Dawn and Sonya Deville.

Lopez joined WWE in early 2021 and got her start on NXT TV a few months later as a member of Legado Del Fantasma with Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro.

About a year later, Escobar, Wilde and Del Toro were called up to the main roster and joined Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega as the LWO, while Lopez was kept in NXT until the start of 2024.

She joined SmackDown in January 2024 to form the new version of Legado Del Fantasma with Escobar, Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo, and despite appearing on TV regularly with the group, she only wrestled three matches before her February 2025 release.

After the news of her departure emerged, Elektra Lopez has now commented on social media, writing:

Heard any good news lately? No? Well, make it quick—I’ve got a packed schedule for the next 90 days ⏳

We wish Lopez and all the other released talents all the best in whatever their futures hold.
