Elias Returns On WWE SmackDown

Last night on Friday Night Smackdown, former WWE Champion Sheamus returned to TV with a pretty cool backstage video package.

The Irishman, who hasn’t appeared on Raw or Smackdown since the Tuesday after WrestleMania 35, also ditched his mohawk in favour of his old hairstyle.

However, Sheamus was not the only WWE Superstar to make his return to TV on last night’s SmackDown show.

Former NXT star Elias also returned to SmackDown last night in a segment with Dana Brooke and former 24/7 Champion Drake Maverick.

Elias has not wrestled on WWE TV since the 09/03 episode of SmackDown where he defeated Mustafa Ali in the King of the Ring tournament semi-final.

Elias was removed from the tournament the following week after it was revealed he needed a few months out to heal his injured ankle.

Elias seemingly impressed Dana Brooke with his musical performance on last night’s show, so this clearly means that WWE is building a feud between Elias and Batista.
