Elias Turns face After Attacking Baron Corbin On Raw

Of all the people I thought would turn baby face, I have to say that Elias was not top of my list.

The all singing, all insulting master of the guitar started his night by defeating Apollo Crews with relative ease, and then decided to bless us all with a concert.

Unusually, this took place at the top of the ramp, the reason for which became clear shortly after.

Interim Raw general manager Baron Corbin interrupted Elias and told him there simply wasn’t time for his performance, and that he should head to the back with his little guitar.

The crowd hated this. The Elias concert is one of the highlights of every show, but few would have predicted what happened once Corbin had forced Elias off the stage.

TWANG! Or at least, the noise a guitar makes when it’s smashed across the back of Baron Corbin.

The crowd loved this. Turning Elias face could be one of the best decisions WWE has made in recent months. Elias, although limited in the ring, has so much mileage with his gimmick, and it will be easy to transition into a more light-hearted role.
