WWE confirmed yesterday that they had hired Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff to new roles with the company. Heyman and Bischoff are now the Executive Directors of Raw and Smackdown respectively.
Reportedly very few people within WWE knew about the hirings in advance. It was even reported that FOX was not even aware that Eric Bischoff would be running the show when it arrives on the channel in October 2019.
It has seen emerged that the sports network reportedly would have prefered Paul Heyman instead of Bischoff to run Smackdown.
The role is a legitimate one backstage and not just part of an elaborate storyline. It was unknown if Bischoff and Heyman would be appearing onscreen as part of their new positions.
However, WrestleZone is now reporting that fans attending Tuesday’s taping at the AT&T Center in Texas have received an advertisement seemingly confirming that Eric Bischoff will be on the show.
On the heels of the announcement by #WWE about the new executive directors, it appears that @EBischoff will be at #SDLive on Tuesday in San Antonio. We just received this promotional message for tickets. pic.twitter.com/uaFmegFppT

If Bischoff does in fact appear on Smackdown, it will be his first time in a WWE ring for over 12 years.
