Ex-WWE Name Says He Doesn’t Want To Be ‘Anywhere Near’ AEW AEW

An ex-WWE name says he doesn’t want to be “anywhere near” AEW.

In 2020, Eric Bischoff made his AEW debut making an appearance on Dynamite in the townhall meeting between Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy.

Since then, Bischoff has publicly criticized All Elite Wrestling on several occasions and drew the ire of Tony Khan.

On the “Ask Me Anything” edition of his “83 Weeks” podcast, Bischoff answered some fan questions with one fan asking what role he would take to come back to wrestling and what company would he work for. He answered:

“There wouldn’t be. If there was some kind of fun thing that I could do with WWE and Bruce (Prichard), sure, that would be fun.”

“I’d have to be able to do it from my home, which makes it impossible and not realistic, and I would not want to be anywhere near AEW in any way shape or form.”

Eric Bischoff last worked with WWE as executive director of SmackDown for a short stint in 2019 before being let go. He appeared on the January 21, 2022 episode of SmackDown in a backstage segment with Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville.

As previously reported, Bischoff most recently condemned Tony Khan for being awarded the “Booker of the Year” from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
