WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has hinted that his time making live wrestling appearances may be coming to an end in early 2025.
The former WCW Senior Vice President made an appearance on the December 3 episode of WWE NXT, moderating an in-ring face-to-face confrontation between Trick Williams and Ridge Holland.
He would then go on to appear at the MLW One Shot event on December 5 in a prominent on-screen role.
Discussing the speculation that he’s under contract with WWE, Bischoff would state that he “doesn’t even have a Legend’s agreement at present“.
During the recent episode of 83 Weeks, Bischoff would reveal that he could be making a return to MLW, saying:
“I don’t want to spill too much too soon. I will say that Atlanta’s a cool place to be in early February and rumor has it there’s going to be an MLW event in Atlanta, so don’t be surprised.”
MLW SuperFight 6 takes place at Center Stage in Atlanta on February 8, 2025.
Speaking on possible live wrestling appearances in the future, Bischoff was guarded in his response, stating:
“I don’t know how much longer I’m going to be doing these live wrestling shows. So if this is going to be my last live wrestling appearance, it’s kinda cool to do it at Center Stage. It’s kinda full-circle.”
Discussing the obstacles he faces for future live appearances, Bischoff went on to say:
“I don’t want to make it sound like I’m too good for anything.”
He would note that the biggest obstacle for him when it comes to live appearances is travel, however, he doesn’t feel he can say “no” to appearing in WWE, adding:
“I guess it depends on when, where, how often, but look I’m not gonna turn down an opportunity to do something for WWE. They’re a class organization, treat you right. Always keep an open mind, for sure.”
During the episode of 83 Weeks, Bischoff would also say he would be interesting in helping with the WWE ID program which is “designed to provide up-and-coming independent wrestlers a pathway to a potential career in WWE.”
Triple H has recently provided details of how WWE ID will support the prospects that have been signed to the program.
