Eric Bischoff Shares Real American Freestyle Update After Hulk Hogan’s Passing WWE

In the wake of the passing of Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff has shared an update on the future of Real American Freestyle.

News broke of Hulk Hogan’s death on July 24, with the WWE Hall of Famer passing away at the age of 71.

Tributes would be paid to the legendary star following his passing from across the wrestling world.

Hogan’s long-time friend Eric Bischoff was among those to pay tribute to the late star with a simple and touching tribute on Twitter that read:

“Thanks for the house, Hulkster.”

With Hogan and Bischoff launching the Real American Freestyle wrestling promotion earlier this year, a fan on Twitter asked Eric about the status of the project following Hulk’s passing.

Bischoff would reply regarding the future of the freestyle wrestling project, confirming it would continue in a tweet in which he stated:

The Show goes on. BROTHER!

The Real American Freestyle Twitter account also issued a statement regarding Hogan’s passing, confirming that they intend to “honor” Hogan’s legacy with the wrestling league:

Today we lost our Commissioner. We lost a friend. And the sport of wrestling lost one of its greatest champions, not just in the ring, but in spirit.

Hulk Hogan believed wrestling was more than just entertainment. He saw it as a brotherhood, a proving ground and a platform for greatness. That’s what Real American Freestyle was built to be, a new stage for the toughest, most passionate athletes on Earth. And Hulk was at the center of it.

From day one, he threw his weight behind this league. He met with athletes. He watched tape, shared stories and showed up like only he could. RAF was personal to him, something bigger than all of us.

This league is part of his legacy, and we intend to honor it.

Alongside Hulk Hogan, Real American Freestyle was founded by Terri Francis and Chad Bronstein on April 30.

It is set to have its first event, RAF 01, on August 30, airing live on Fox Nation, with Kurt Angle serving as “commentator, analyst and partner”.

Tributes continue to pour in for the late Hulk Hogan, with Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock being among the WWE stars to share their thoughts.

We continue to extend our condolences to the family, friends and fans of Terry Bollea aka Hulk Hogan at this time.
