Eric Bischoff has commented on speculation about Tony and Shahid Khan buying WWE, as the company receives advice about a potential sale.

Amid rumors about WWE selling up, Barrons, the sister publication of the Wall Street Journal, reported that AEW (the Khans) is in the pool of potential buyers.

CNBC then shared a report indicating that Shahid & Tony Khan would be interested in potentially merging WWE with AEW in some capacity.

On his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff noted that while this sale could happen, he doesn’t know if the Khans would be able to run the company well.

Bischoff said:

“Acquiring WWE is, that’s a big, giant move, I don’t see it.

“Now, could it happen? Sure, anything is possible. But if you really think about it, does the Khan enterprise have the experience, knowledge, infrastructure, ability to run a company as complex as WWE?

“They may be in the same business, but they don’t live and play in the same universe.”
