Re-Signed Former Star Yet To Make WWE Return After Months

A new report has revealed a re-signed former star that has yet to make their WWE return after months.

After being released in the first round of budget cuts following the pandemic, Eric Young made his return to IMPACT Wrestling in June 2020. Soon thereafter, Young regained the IMPACT World Championship and experienced a great deal of success over two and a half years back in his old promotion.

Following the start of the Triple H regime, a number of former stars made their returns to the company and even more were rumored to make a return. One of which was the former Sanity member.

On the December 1, 2022 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, Young was written off television with reports circulating that he would be making his return back to WWE.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update on Eric Young’s status, noting that he is currently under WWE contract.

The report notes that Young has been with the company as far back as November 1, but he has not appeared on screen and has yet to hear of him being backstage at all.

There was talk of Eric Young returning to reform the Sanity stable with Nikki Cross, who recently reverted back to her NXT character on WWE programming.
