Well this is quite the development. Erick Rowan snapped on SmackDown Live tonight, brutally attacking his Clash of Champions opponent Roman Reigns, and then slamming his former tag partner and friend Daniel Bryan through the announce table with the Iron Claw.
Many people had thought the story unfold for it to end up Rowan was being directed by Bryan to attack Reigns for all these weeks, but this would seem to suggest otherwise.
Unless Bryan is really committed to fooling everyone, in which case fair play.
As mentioned, Rowan will face Reigns in a one-on-one match at Clash of Champions on September 15.
