Estimated PPV Buys For AEW All Out 2022 Revealed AEW

An update on has emerged on estimated pay-per-view buys for AEW All Out 2022, following the major event.

The build to All Out was intriguing to say the least, with CM Punk losing to Jon Moxley in a matter of minutes in an Undisputed AEW World Title match weeks before they were scheduled to face off in the main event of the pay-per-view.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer estimated that the number of pay-per-view buys for All Out will fall between 135,000 and 142,000.

Noting that the number is expected to be significantly lower than the previous two AEW pay-per-view events, Meltzer noted:

“For the most important PPV number, we have less info at this point than usual but based on U.S. cable/satellite numbers and comparisons with the last two shows would give us a number between 135,000 and 142,000.

“It was well below both Revolution and Double or Nothing, but it would have been considered a very good number for a show prior to last year’s All Out. The reality is the company is not as hot. WWE putting on two shows that weekend didn’t help.

“It broke the streak Tony Khan was so proud of where every show in AEW history has been the same named show from the prior year. That streak was going to be broken because there was no way this was getting near 205,000 buys which they got due to it being C.M. Punk’s first match back.”

In the main event of the show, CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley to regain the AEW World Title. Of course, everyone is currently talking about the events which followed the main show, with CM Punk targeting Colt Cabana, Hangman Page and the AEW EVPs in a verbal tirade during the post show media scrum.

Following Punk’s rant, a fight broke out backstage, allegedly involving Punk, Ace Steel, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks. On the September 7 edition of Dynamite, Khan announced that Punk has been stripped of the AEW World Title, and The Elite of the Trios Championship.

Omega and The Young Bucks were among a number of names suspended following the altercation. It has also been reported that Punk is currently injured, and expected to be out of action for a number of months. Punk is also believed to be suspended.
