A new estimate has indicated how much revenue WWE generated from this past weekend’s WrestleMania 37 ticket sales.
According to Brandon Thurston, who is great when it comes to covering the financial and business side of pro-wrestling, WWE likely generated about $10 million from the festivities.
Speaking on Wrestlenomics Radio, Thurston said:
“They are reporting 51,000 fans. They did not report a gate here, which they do in some years. Let’s say 40,000 paid and the average ticket price is $250, which has been in line with what WrestleMania tickets have been in the past and if you multiply by 40,000 paid with an average price of $250, you get $10 million.”
WWE touted sellout crowds of 25,675 fans in attendance on each night at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida, coming to a total of 51,350.
As Thurston explained, not all of those would have paid for tickets and there are other variables too, so at this point the number is just an estimate.
