Eva Marie made her return to WWE in a vignette on May 3, 2021. The WWE star has since revealed that her return to the company was delayed not once, but twice.
Speaking to Bleacher Report, Eva Marie said that originally she was planned to redebut before WrestleMania, but the timing wasn’t right, and then her return was scheduled for the post-WrestleMania episode of Raw, which also got delayed.
Marie said:
“There’s always so many things where creatively, story-wise, there were so many thing where I was going to come back before ‘Mania, and then I wasn’t. Timing is everything, and just making sure it made sense. That’s kind of where it was at where I thought I was returning a lot sooner, and then it didn’t make sense. WrestleMania wasn’t the right moment, and right after wasn’t, either. It was just looking for that right little slot to insert the storyline and create it and start it.”
Eva made her official return on June 15, where she escorted Doudrop to the ring for her victory over Naomi.
It was recently reported that Vince McMahon is very high on the Eva Marie and Doudrop story.
Eva Marie was the topic on everyone’s lips after last night’s (July 5) episode of Raw.
