The 2020 Royal Rumble matches had more than their fair share of surprise entrants. Stars from the past and stars from NXT took part in both the men’s and women’s Rumble matches with some very notable names popping up. Here we will provide a breakdown of which surprise entrants showed up, when they showed up and who eliminated them.

Women’s Royal Rumble Match:

  • Dakota Kai #15 – Eliminated by Chelsea Greene
  • Chelsea Greene #16 – Eliminated by Alexa Bliss

  • Keith Lee #13 – Eliminated by Brock Lesnar
  • Edge #21 – Eliminated by Roman Reigns
  • Matt Riddle #23 – Eliminated by Baron Corbin

Far fewer surprises in the men’s match but what surprises they were. Edge and MVP returned after nearly a decade away from WWE and Matt Riddle and Keith Lee made their first main roster appearances since Survivor Series.
