Everyone In WWE ‘Thrilled’ With Re-Signing Of Pat McAfee WWE

Everyone in WWE is said to be “thrilled” with a recent re-signing for the company.

WWE announced today that SmackDown commentator Pat McAfee had signed a multi-year extension with the company.

Per WrestleVotes, everyone in the company were thrilled with the re-signing of McAfee and know exactly what they have in the former NFL punter.

The tweet reads:

I’m told the Pat McAfee extension was signed a few weeks back, to the thrill of everyone involved. WWE knows exactly what they have in McAfee and were steadfast on making sure they kept him around. Good job on them.

McAfee’s commentary partner Michael Cole took to social media to express his gratitude in seeing his SmackDown colleague be re-signed with his first tweet in nearly 4 years

Cole wrote:

After 25 years in “the booth,” working with @PatMcAfeeShow is the highlight of each week. His excitement is contagious (even if he almost kicks me when standing on our table) and has helped revitalize my love for our business! @WWE, our fans, and I are lucky to have him!

WWE legend and COO Triple H also responded to the news of Pat McAfee re-signing by praising him for his transition into wrestling, tweeting:

Very few can transition from professional athletics to entertainment the way @PatMcAfeeShowhas. In short, he “gets it” & the authenticity he brings to his fans & the @WWE Universe is the same he brings to every facet of his life. A pleasure working with him. (Plus, he’s jacked!)

The news of McAfee’s re-signing comes off the heels of WWE announcing that he will return to the ring for a matchup with Happy Corbin at this year’s SummerSlam on July 30 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Corbin attacked Pat McAfee at ringside following the Money In The Bank event going off the air.

This will mark McAfee’s third in-ring bout on the main roster and his fifth overall match in WWE after two contests for NXT in 2020.
