Los Ingobernables de Japon’s first recruit has turned his back on the group. EVIL defeated Kazuchika Okada to win the New Japan Cup with the help of Bullet Club. He will now face Tetsuya Naito tomorrow at Dominion for the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships.

Okada had the match won with the Cobra Clutch when Gedo ran distraction. Yujiro Takahashi broke up the submission attempt and EVIL won the match with Everything is EVIL. After the match, Naito came to the ring and offered the LIJ fist bump only for EVIL to instead throw up the Too Sweet and hit Everything is EVIL.

Bullet Club joined EVIL in the celebration and Los Ingobernables de Japon rushed to the side of Naito. EVIL had been with the group for nearly five years and now is in a prime position to step into the main event scene. EVIL was the likely choice to win the match as it was too soon to have the Naito vs. Okada rematch but few could have foreseen EVIL joining Bullet Club.

As many of the top Bullet Club stars are unable to rejoin the stable due to the pandemic, EVIL is now the biggest star in the group.
