Speaking on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract expired at midnight on Friday night, just a few hours after his Universal Championship match with Roman Reigns.
Despite technically being a free agent, WWE is reportedly “pushing hard” for the former WWE Champion to re-sign with the company, which you can read more about by clicking here.
While his future remains relatively unclear, it has been reported that people within AEW expect Daniel Bryan to sign a new contract with WWE, with one person reportedly saying that have heard Bryan will be staying with WWE.
In spite of this, it has also emerged that Ring of Honor (ROH) is likely to make Daniel Bryan an offer to return to the promotion, as the two parties have seemingly not lost complete contact throughout the years.
