Interesting WWE Fan Interest Statistics On Royal Rumble & Elimination Chamber WWE

An update has emerged on social media interest surrounding the recent Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber premium live events.

WWE has already held two major events this year, on the road to WrestleMania 39 in April.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics has now shared some insight on interest shown for the WWE products on the days surrounding these shows.

Per data shared by Thurston, the number of tweets with ‘WWE’ in them on January 28, the day of Royal Rumble 2023, was 203,000, with 199,000 on the following day.

On the day of Elimination Chamber, 165,000 tweets included the word ‘WWE’.

Discussing these figures, Thurston tweeted:

It’ll be a few days before we see Google Trends data from the weekend.

Tweets are one hint about the level of interest in Elimination Chamber (Feb 18).

Compare w/ tweet counts around Royal Rumble (Jan 28), which you’d expect to be higher, the 2nd-biggest WWE event of the year.

Major angles took place at both events regarding WWE’s major Bloodline storyline, with Sami Zayn turning on Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble, and Zayn unsuccessfully challenging for Reigns’ WWE Undisputed Universal Title at Elimination Chamber.

WWE is now building towards WrestleMania 39, where Cody Rhodes will challenge for Reigns’ gold in the main event of the show.
