UPDATE: The Amalie Arena has now deleted the tweet.
The Amalie Arena has posted a statement on Twitter that fans attending SmackDown tonight cannot take photos or videos.
The tweet notes that “failure to comply will result in ejection”. If you’re thinking this seems a bit strange, well, it is.
The reason for this “strict” policy is unknown, but in the last few weeks, there have been a lot of images circulating of dark matches with NXT talent that have taken place before the shows, as well as the dark main events that happen after.
Fans also posted videos during Raw of CM Punk and Bray Wyatt chants, which weren’t as clear on TV due to piped-in sound.
The Amalie Arena also states that “wearing a mask is highly encouraged”.
The only thing WWE has announced for tonight’s SmackDown is Finn Balor vs Baron Corbin.
WrestleTalk.com will be providing live coverage of the show later tonight.
