It seems not everyone is very happy with CM Punk after he made a shock return to WWE TV on WWE Backstage last night.
A number of fans have taken to social media to label him a “sell out” for returning to work alongside the company that reportedly treated him so poorly before he left in 2014.
Punk will be a special guest contributor on WWE Backstage going forward, and will be making his first proper appearance on next week’s show.
Here is what the angry fans had to say about it:
CM Punk is a sell out. Could of joined the revolution. But he took the money and came crawling back to vince. pic.twitter.com/8HHcUe4Vrm

@CMPunk I liked you more when you refused to be a sell out. I had more respect for you for trying to make it on your own. I’m disappointed that you sold out. I’m even more upset you sold out to the most soul sucking company in the world entire world. You’re better than that.

CM Punk on a speaking TV role, I’m cool with.
I have zero interest in seeing CM Punk ever wrestle again.
Way to sell out on your morals that you stood up for when you left.
It’s like an abusive relationship. When no one else wants you, you go crawling back to your abuser.

It would be interesting to see if these are the same people who have been chanting “CM Punk” in every WWE arena for the past 5 years.
What do you think? Is he a sell out or are you just happy to see him?
