Fans Outraged At The Rock’s Recent Instagram Post Young Rock

A number of fans have voiced outrage at Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s recent Instagram post promoting the upcoming DC Black Adam film.

Johnson took to Instagram , with a video of himself doing bicep curls in the gym. The former WWE Champion captioned the video:

In 8 weeks. The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE has changed. Rage.

“Your magic is weak”

While Johnson has been using the ‘hierarchy of power’ tagline for a while, fans have argued that the use of it now is ill-timed, with uncertainty surrounding many DC projects.

Following a change in leadership at Warner Bros. Discovery, a number of the company’s upcoming releases were shelved due to cost-cutting measures, including the Batgirl film, which had already completed shooting, and was slated to release on HBO Max this year.

The current state of the DC Extended Universe is also up in the air, with uncertainty surrounding The Flash, Aquaman 2 and other projects.

While some weren’t pleased with Johnson for this timing, others have taken to social media to argue that the tagline is just plain silly.

Responses included:

“lol this is so embarrassing”

“Not the rock simping for a fictional version of himself.”

“Especially funny since there’s been no clear ‘hierarchy of power’ (what is that?) to begin with. Kind of feels like this was something he kept saying at a pitch meeting and everyone gave in.”

“You can take the man out of wrestling, but you can’t take wrestling out of the man.”

There are reportedly plans for Johnson to return to the ring at WrestleMania 39 in April 2023, which you can read more about right here.
