AEW
A father and son tag team is reuniting in AEW for a match on this week’s episode of Collision airing on Saturday, January 24.
This week’s Collision was originally supposed to take place live in Arlington on Saturday, but due to weather conditions, it’s being taped after tonight’s Dynamite in Orlando instead.
During Dynamite, a tag team match was announced for Collision that will see Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita team up against Billy Gunn and Austin Gunn.
This marks the first time Billy and Austin have teamed together in AEW since 2022 when Austin and his brother Colten turned on their father Billy and Billy aligned with The Acclaimed.
Colten Gunn has been out of action due to injury and hasn’t had a match since July.
This will also mark Billy Gunn‘s AEW return after not having a match for the promotion since Double Or Nothing 2024 when he and The Acclaimed defeated Brian Cage and the Gates of Agony.
While he hasn’t been in action in AEW, he has wrestled for other promotions including One Fall and Maple Leaf Pro.
When Austin and Colten made their debuts during the AEW Dark days in 2020 and 2021, they largely worked as a trio with Billy as The Gunn Club before the aforementioned split that led to Billy joining The Acclaimed.
