NXT has already dealt with a number of COVID-19 outbreaks since the start of the pandemic. Now, it appears they may be dealing with another one.
A new report from Fightful Select (subscription required) states that there are significant changes being made to this week’s episode of NXT. The report says that some talent have been contacted and told to quarantine while others have been pulled from the show.
The report also mentions that there was an event last Thursday in which many Performance Center trainees were required to attend. This has reportedly led to the fear of another outbreak of COVID-19 as several people in attendance were not taking the proper precautions. This ultimately caused talent to be pulled from the show.
WWE does not currently have anything planned for their show as of this writing. We will provide updates as more details regarding the show become available.
UPDATE: This report has been confirmed by Dave Meltzer who also noted that there have been lots of positive tests. He did not say who tested positive, but noted it was being kept under wraps.
