In a new update, Fightful Select received a comment from an anonymous female WWE talent about Laurinaitis, who said:
“I’d rather get all my s**t sent to me in a trash bag when I get fired than have to deal with him, and neither are good options.”
Laurinaitis was appointed as WWE’s Head of Talent Relations in 2021, and there was “frustration and displeasure” among female talent backstage when that decision was made.
“Many” women have felt that Laurinaitis’ hiring practices are “archaic”. Several other sources have said there has been suspicion of Laurinaitis’ misconduct dating back as far as the 2000s.
Sources also told Fightful they expect Laurinaitis will be gone from him position when all this is said and done. One source speculated Laurinaitis is “being set up as the latest fall guy for Vince”.
