Final Viewership For April 16 SmackDown Revealed

The April 16, 2021 episode of SmackDown was the first episode of the show since WrestleMania 37. As such, the show featured a lot of fallout from WWE’s biggest event of the year.

Now, the final viewership for the show has been revealed. Showbuzz Daily has reported the viewership figures for this episode of SmackDown. The show garnered an average of 2.119 million viewers and a 5.6 rating in the key 18-49 male demographic.

SmackDown featured the championship celebration of Bianca Belair who had just won her women’s title from Sasha Banks.

Additionally, there was a WrestleMania rematch as Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens once again did battle. This appears to be an ongoing storyline as Zayn walked out on the match before Owens ran him down and hit a Stunner.

Roman Reigns also made his post-WrestleMania address and set up a future rivalry with Cesaro. Cesaro interrupted Reigns’ promo at the start of the show and then wrestled Jey Uso in the main event. The match was cut short as Seth Rollins ran in to cause the disqualification. It would appear they will wrestle again in the new future.
