Final Viewership For SmackDown Following WrestleMania Backlash

The final viewership numbers for last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown following WrestleMania Backlash have been revealed.

As per Wrestlenomics and PWTorch, Friday’s episode of SmackDown on FOX drew an average of 1.933 million viewers. This is an increase from the previous week’s episode, which saw an average of 1.83 million viewers tune in.

The May 21 episode also was up in the 18-49 demographic. Friday’s episode scored a 0.50 rating, while the previous week’s show earned a 0.44 rating.

Last week’s show featured an Intercontinental Championship four-way bout between champion Apollo Crews, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Big E. Apollo retained his title, with an assist from Aleister Black.

Black hit Big E with a Black Mass and watched on as Crews pinned the former Intercontinental Champion. Black hasn’t competed in an official match since October 2020.

Also on Friday’s show, Shinsuke Nakamura defeated King Corbin. Nakamura has recently given his honest opinion on the new IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

The July 16 episode of SmackDown will kick off WWE’s return to their touring schedule. Ahead of WWE’s return to the road, tickets for the Money in the Bank pay-per-view have reportedly been selling fast.
