Finn Balor Hopes For A Third NXT Run

Former NXT Champion Finn Balor has discussed his love for the Gold Brand, noting that he hopes to return for another run one day.

Last month, Finn Balor joined SmackDown after a successful second-stint in NXT. Despite only just returning to the WWE main roster, Balor is already thinking about another run on the brand.

Speaking with WWE Deutschland, Balor stated that he felt like he had a bond with everybody working on NXT. Discussing a possible return, Balor said:

“And I used to think that other things would — in my career would mean more and really the two times at NXT, for different reasons have been two of the most beautiful periods of my career, like personally and professionally. I feel like I grow so much in NXT, I really feel a part of the team.

“It feels like a bond amongst the guys that are there, you know? And not only the guys in the ring but the stuff behind the scenes and the producers and the trainers and that’s something that I really feel attached to and really feel passionate about and I know I’ve had two runs there and hopefully in the future there will be a third.”

During this week’s (August 6) episode of SmackDown, Balor defeated Baron Corbin in a quick match, before getting physical with Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

John Cena is set to challenge Reigns for the gold at SummerSlam, after Cena signed a match contract intended for Reigns and Balor.
