Tonight on NXT on the USA Network, Adam Cole defended his NXT Championship against Matt Riddle.
The match was absolutely sensational, and will likely go down as one of the best matches of 2019.
Adam Cole ultimately walked out of the match with the win, hitting Matt Riddle with the Last Shot after blasting him with his protective arm cast.
The somewhat-screwy finish seemingly allowed for a rematch between the two at NXT TakeOver: War Games III next month.
However, Adam Cole was seemingly challenged by a returning former NXT Champion Finn Balor after the match, setting up a very exciting NXT Champion program.
Balor took to the mic and said that he is now NXT, seemingly confirming a permanent return to the black and gold brand.
Too sweet, right, @AdamColePro? 🤘#NXTonUSA #WWENXT #NXTChampionship @FinnBalor pic.twitter.com/Ur3d1zPBIS

This is a great move, and will do wonders for the previously floundering career of the immensely talented Finn Balor.
