Finn Balor put Kyle O’Reilly in his rear-view mirror last night at New Year’s Evil. With a new TakeOver event announced last night, he will need a new challenger.
Now, Balor has spoken with Sportskeeda about who he still wants to face in NXT. Among the many top stars on the brand, Karrion Kross and Pete Dunne were the names he wants to face the most. Here is the quote, courtesy of Wrestle Zone:
“Obviously the big choice, I think, would be Karrion Kross. I feel like he deserves a title shot. I feel like obviously, having gone through what he’s gone through in the past, I sympathize and have empathy with his situation.
But you know, someone who I would love to be in the ring with, and has proven himself countless times over the years, is Pete Dunne. That’s someone who I would love to face.”
Balor won the NXT Championship as a result of Kross suffered a shoulder injury. Kross has yet to receive a match for the title since returning to NXT so a match with Finn Balor is likely in his future.
