This week on NXT on the USA Network, Finn Balor shockingly turned heel on Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa to close out the show.
As a result of this killer angle, many people felt as if NXT actually had a better show than AEW, although that didn’t translate in the ratings.
This is the first time that Balor has been heel on WWE TV since joining the promotion, and the future is rather exciting for the former Universal and NXT Champion.
Following his heel turn, Balor appeared on WWE Backstage immediately after Friday Night Smackdown on FS1 to discuss his actions from earlier in the week.
Balor was a heel for a lot of his time in NJPW as the leader of the Bullet Club. During this run, he was known as Prince Devitt.
On last night’s WWE Backstage, Balor teased that he would be appearing in NXT as Prince Devitt moving forward.
