The first challenger for a WWE star’s newly won championship has been revealed, following a number one contender’s match at a live event last night (January 10).
Tuesday’s WWE NXT New Year’s Evil (January 7) saw Giulia dethrone Roxanne Perez to become new NXT Women’s Champion in her second attempt, following an earlier loss on October 1.
While fans speculate as to whether Perez will potentially now be called up to WWE’s main roster, NXT held a special Women’s Rumble match at a live event in Dade City, Florida last night, with the winner earning a title shit against Giulia.
While the likes of Stephanie Vaquer and Nikkita Lyons competed in the bout, it was Lola Vice who took home the win, earning a future shot at Giulia’s prize.
As seen down below, the champion went face-to-face with Vice after her win, with it currently unknown when the championship match will take place.
Giulia was not the only star to capture NXT gold at New Year’s Evil, with Oba Femi also becoming new NXT Champion at the event.
Following his win The Ruler sent a word of warning to The Rock for “stealing” TV time at Tuesday’s show – click here for full details.
