Impact Wrestling has announced a first-ever match for the Impact World Championship. For the first time in Impact history, the title match will be contested between two women. Champion Tessa Blanchard will put her title on the line against Taya Valkyrie next week on Impact.

Blanchard won the title for the first time earlier this year. She managed to defeat Sami Callihan at Hard to Kill, marking the first time a woman had won the championship.
