The first match has been announced for NXT Great American Bash as Adam Cole will face Kyle O’Reilly.
The match is a rematch of their clash from NXT Takeover Stand and Deliver. However, while that match was held under Unsanctioned rules, this will be a straight singles match.
This was announced during tonight’s (June 15) NXT. Cole and O’Reilly were brawling backstage when Regal made the match official. They continued to brawl until it was broken up by Samoa Joe.
They also announced that Cole and O’Reilly will choose their own opponents for Pick Your Poison matches next week. Kyle O’Reilly has chosen Kushida as his opponent while Adam Cole has not chosen his yet.
Cole and O’Reilly both participated in the Fatal 5-Way match at NXT Takeover: In Your House. They were both unsuccessful as Karrion Kross retained the NXT Championship, choking O’Reilly out.
We will continue to report on new matches for NXT Great American Bash as they are announced. The show will take place on July 6, 2021.
