First Matches Set For 2024 WWE NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic

The first two matches on tonight’s NXT has been set for the 2024 WWE NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.

On the January 2 New Year’s Evil edition of WWE NXT, Ava Raine announced that the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

The company later confirmed that Bron Breakker will team with Baron Corbin, while Axiom will team with Nathan Frazer in the tournament.

Ahead of tonight’s show, the NXT Twitter account announced that Corbin and Breakker will face Gallus in a first round bout in the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic on the January 9 episode. Meanwhile, Axiom and Nathan Frazier will team to face Tank Ledger and Hank Walker in another first round matchup.

The bracket for this year’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament has yet to be revealed at the time of this writing.
