It seems like a familiar face is back in the wacky universe of Being The Elite and by extension, All Elite Wrestling.
On today’s edition of BTE, former ROH star Flip Gordon showed up to see his old friends in The Elite.
As a callback to how Flip was introduced on the show, Matt Jackson shook his hand and delivered his old catchphrase, “Where Do You Think You’re Going?”, before Adam Cole and Nick Jackson delivered a double superkick.
Joining in on the fun, John Silver and Alex Reynolds delivered some double team offense to Gordon as well.
The bit ended with everyone over a fallen Flip telling him, “Welcome to AEW….Dark!”, in yet another callback to when they used to tell Gordon, “Welcome to ROH!”.
Flip Gordon has become a controversial figure since making his public views known about being anti-vaccinations and masks. He was apart of the Ring of Honor roster before the company went on hiatus.
ROH has their return event, Supercard of Honor, scheduled for WrestleMania 38 weekend in Dallas on April 1.
It is still unknown whether Flip Gordon will be a part of that event or if there are plans for AEW to use him.
