The match will have serious implications for the Bullet Club promoted show ALL IN as a win would guarantee Flip Gordon a spot on the card.
The storyline has been that Cody refuses to book Gordon on the show as Gordon has failed at every opportunity he has been given. Meanwhile, it is Cody’s intention to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at ALL IN as a tribute to Dusty Rhodes. Now if Gordon manages to defeat Aldis and capture the title he will have earned his place on the ALL IN card against the man who refused to book him in the first place.
The match was announced at the end of a video produced by the NWA YouTube channel.
The video features Aldis learning of his next opponent after cutting a promo on Cody, in which he said that Cody’s attention is split on other championships while he is devoted to the only championship that matters.
Honor For All will take place later this month from Nashville, Tennessee and will be available on Ring of Honor‘s streaming service, HonorClub.
