Footage Of Kenny Omega Altercation In Japan Released

New footage from AEW star Kenny Omega’s recent altercation with an NJPW star in Japan has now been released.

Kenny Omega recently made his return to New Japan Pro Wrestling at the NJPW Power Struggle event, his first appearance for the promotion since Wrestle Kingdom 17 in 2023, where he defeated Will Ospreay.

Omega cut an in-ring promo where he spoke about wanting to make his in-ring return as an AEW star in a NJPW ring, singling out some of the young stars in NJPW as potential opponents.

After the show, Omega got involved in a backstage altercation with current NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd, seemingly setting up Kidd as Omega’s return opponent at the upcoming Wrestle Dynasty show on January 5 in the Tokyo Dome.

Now, new footage of the altercation has emerged, via Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, which you can see below.

Omega has commented on the altercation with Kidd since the event, comparing it to the infamous incident with CM Punk in AEW.

It is not known if a match with Kidd will be Omega’s return match, as he has not yet been cleared to return to in-ring action.
