Former AEW Champion Mariah May Makes WWE Debut WWE

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May has officially made her first WWE appearance during tonight’s June 3 episode of NXT.

Just a few days ago, May’s departure from AEW was confirmed after she was removed from the promotion’s official roster page.

She hadn’t appeared in AEW since early March when she lost the “Hollywood Ending” match to Toni Storm at Revolution.

Soon after that match, it emerged that May was in her contract year with AEW and there was interest in a move to WWE from both sides.

On tonight’s NXT, new NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and the rest of Fatal Influence were in the ring for a celebration.

However, they were interrupted by multiple top names in the NXT women’s division, before a big brawl broke out around ringside.

The lights then went out, before a spotlight shone onto Mariah May standing on the platform in the Performance Center.

May’s name was not mentioned, so we’ll keep you updated on whether this is a similar situation to Ricky Saints where she undergoes a name change.

Her real name is Mariah May Mead, so that may necessitate a change if WWE wants her to use a name the company can own – the same thing that happened with Saints.
