AEW
A former AEW star has provided an update on their future following their recently confirmed departure from the company.
Earlier this month, AEW star Leyla Hirsch was removed from the company’s roster page, with it later being confirmed that her contract expired on February 28, with her set to leave the company.
Hirsch signed with AEW back in 2021, and spent most of her recent time competing in ROH, including challenging Red Velvet for the ROH Women’s Television Championship at Final Battle in 2024, which ended up being her last match in the company.
In an update on her future, Leyla took to Twitter today, where she announced her return to the independent wrestling circuit following her AEW departure.
She said:
After taking some time to reflect and recharge, I’m beyond excited to announce that I’m BACK on the independent wrestling scene!
I’ve missed the rush, the fans, and the adrenaline that comes with stepping into that ring. I’m ready to bring the passion and the performance you know and love!
