Former AEW Star Promises Big Things Following Release AEW

A former AEW star has promised big things for the new year following their exit from the company.

At IMPACT Hard To Kill, Frankie Kazarian appeared for an in-ring promo where he officially announced that he had signed a long term contract with IMPACT Wrestling. Later, reports revealed that Kazarian had asked for and was granted his release from All Elite Wrestling.

On January 15, Kazarian took to Twitter to express his excitement on the future and promised big things following his departure from AEW. He tweeted:

“Well, 2023 is off to a wild start. Thank you all for your love and support all these years. There is SO much on the horizon for this year and beyond. I invite you to continue along this journey with me. I’m just getting started! Onward and upward”

Last year, Frankie Kazarian had the opportunity to work frequently with IMPACT while still under contract with AEW.

This led to him defeating Speedball Mike Bailey for the IMPACT X-Division Championship at Bound For Glory 2022. He went on to challenge Josh Alexander for the IMPACT World Title in a near-40 minute main event at Over Drive.

Kazarian leaves All Elite Wrestling with his name in the history books as the first AEW World Tag Team Champion alongside his SCU tag team partner Scorpio Sky.
