A former AEW star is set to compete in their WWE debut match next week after making an appearance at tonight’s Battleground show.
Former AEW star Mike Santana left the company back in 2024, and he has since gone on to have an impressive run both on the independent scene and in TNA.
On a recent episode of TNA IMPACT, Santana bumped into Trick Williams backstage, seemingly teasing a future encounter between the two.
It was reported earlier today that Santana was present backstage at tonight’s WWE Battleground event, and he made his first WWE appearance on the show in a backstage interview with Sarah Schreiber.
Santana was interrupted by the No Quarter Catch Crew, when he got into an argument with Tavion Heights, before a challenge was made for a match on next week’s episode of NXT.
This will be Santana’s first ever match on WWE television.
