A former AEW star has been announced as having signed a WWE ID (Independent Development) deal at a show tonight.
New names have been announced left, right and center for the WWE ID program, but the biggest name so far has now been revealed.
As announced at tonight’s November 21 Freelance Wrestling event, Kylie Rae is officially a WWE ID prospect.
In addition to her indie career, Kylie Rae is known for being an early member of the AEW women’s roster in 2019.
She worked AEW’s first ever show, Double Or Nothing, in a four-way match with Awesome Kong, Nyla Rose and Britt Baker.
However, that was Rae’s only AEW match as she was released at her request not long after.
After her AEW exit, she worked for Impact/TNA before announcing her retirement from wrestling, although she returned to the industry a few months later with the NWA.
Also an interesting note, Kylie Rae actually worked a match on WWE Main Event against Dana Brooke in December 2022 under the name Briana Ray, but wasn’t signed by the company at that time.
