A former AEW star is confirmed to have taken part in a WWE tryout last week.
It was recently confirmed that Brian Pillman Jr had departed All Elite Wrestling, with his contract expiring and the two sides parting ways.
On Wednesday, it was reported that Pillman was spotted at the WWE Performance Center, though it was not known exactly why he was present at the PC.
In an update today from PWInsider, WWE sources have confirmed that the company brought in Pillman Jr this past Wednesday through to yesterday for a tryout in Orlando.
It has not been revealed whether or not Pillman was offered a contract, or whether he has signed one.
WWE has made no hires for the main roster since Vince McMahon’s return to the company back in January.
Former WWE star Carlito has reportedly re-signed with his planned return at Madison Square Garden being scrapped.
Another free agent that WWE reportedly has ‘high interest’ in is former NWA and IMPACT World Champion Nick Aldis.
