Sadie Gibbs made a few appearances for All Elite Wrestling last year but her future looked bright. Now, she has revealed that she was mere days away from moving to the United States when the pandemic took hold.
This meant she had to stay in England and months later she was released along with Jimmy Havoc and Bea Priestley. She revealed she was just days away from making the move on Vickie Guerrero’s podcast. Here is the quote, courtesy of Fightful:
“I was planning on moving out. My flight was booked for [March] 25, my suitcases were packed and ready. Then it all happened on the 20th and I thought, ‘Maybe I wasn’t meant to go at this time.’ It was within five days, I couldn’t believe it. It’s gutting, but I don’t like to be in a negative headspace where I’m dwelling on everything and feeling sorry for myself because I’m lucky these opportunities came into my life. I just have to take what I can from it and keep going.”
Gibbs made her biggest appearance for AEW at All Out 2019, competing in the Casino Battle Royale. She then wrestled a pair of matches on AEW Dark, winning on and losing the other.
