Former Champion Doesn’t Think Goldberg Should Be In WWE Title Match

Speaking on WWE Backstage last night, former Divas Champion Paige said that while she is a fan of Goldberg, she doesn’t think the WWE Hall of Famer should be challenging for the WWE Championship.

Tonight at the Royal Rumble, Goldberg will challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship, and Paige has revealed that she doesn’t think Goldberg deserves to be in the big title match:

“Honestly, like I’m a fan of Goldberg, right? I just don’t feel like he should be in this kinda thing. I think Drew has been having this massive buildup over the last year. He’s been completely carrying as the babyface of the company. I think he’s been doing so freaking well. Then you’ve got people who have been there for a long time who want to have that opportunity and unfortunately they’re not getting it. I just don’t feel like it’s needed and I don’t think he should be the one to, at least, win it.”

This comes after another member of the WWE roster recently took to social media to take some shots at Goldberg, claiming that the WWE Hall of Famer has “thin skin”, which you can read more about by clicking here.
